Spook Comic
Story Sketch
Spook is about the ghost of a former CIA agent who is forced to take physical form by the KGB. The backstory: CIA agent _ was involved in a mission to sabotage the Chernobyl power plant. During his mission he befriends a woman, maybe a family, located in Pripyat. The sabotage goes a bit out of control (destroys the power plant completely) and our agent knows that everyone in the vicinity is at great risk of dying instantly from the blast or very slowly from the radiation. He acts quickly, fleeing to Pripyat to evacuate the woman/family. Regarding spook comic, had an idea that maybe the character could have been captured by whoever and forced to help spy. I'm thinking the means by which he/she was captured were of the ghetto-rigged variety. So essentially the ghost gets summoned and trapped in some sort of magical contraption consisting of spare parts and cardboard, the captor forces him/her to work for whatever government agency as a spy. I figure Russian KGB would be fun.
Maybe the spook could have been forced to keep physical form with the use of some device attached to them or even inside them. Sets off a metal detector? Felt in a pat down? X-ray?
