Class Description

Learn to use Inkscape to create vector images. Participants will go through the basics of drawing including text, shapes, and lines. You will learn how the laser cutter can make your drawing into a laser cut object! This workshop pairs well with Laser Cutter 101 (a requirement to use the laser cutter). You are encouraged to bring your own laptop and mouse. Hatch laptops will be available on a first come, first serve basis. If you will be bringing your own computer, please download Inkscape for free prior to class: https://inkscape.org/en/release/0.92.2/ This workshop requires computer proficiency. Recommended for ages 12 and older.

Notes

12" x 16" is the maximum size

Cutting stroke width is 0.001"

Strokes at 0.001" are cut, everything else is etched/engraved
