History

Crane replaced the humidifier and allowed me to keep the old one. I will hold on to it and use it for parts if need be. The process was pretty easy. They asked for the info on the tag attached to the cord, which I gave them. They called it a "one-time replacement" so I assume if I try to do it again, they will refuse. Maybe Jamie could do it. Just in case this one breaks.

Maintenance

Daily

  1. Turn off and unplug
  2. Empty tank and base
  3. Allow tank and base to air dry
  4. Leave cap off tank until ready for next use

Weekly

  1. Turn off and unplug
  2. Empty tank and base
  3. Fill tank halfway with warm water
  4. Add 2 tbsp. of vinegar
  5. Shake vigorously
  6. Let sit for 30 minutes
  7. Empty talk and rinse with plain water
  8. Rinse warm water thru mist outlet channel
  9. Fill base with warm water
  10. Add 1 tbsp of vinegar
  11. Let sit for 30 minutes
  12. Empty base and rinse with plain water
  13. Allow tank and base to air dry
  14. Leave cap off tank until ready for next use
