This is probably the OS I'll go with for Chromebook.

Requirements


My System

Hardware ID: QUAWKS

Processor: Intel Bay Trail

Firmware update REQUIRED

Remove write-protect screw

Install SeaBIOS required

Use Etcher to create the bootable USB

Preparation


  1. Shut down Chromebook
  2. Remove screws from bottom of computer case
  3. Carefully pry the panel where the keyboard is inlaid using some kind of pry bar
  4. Locate and remove the write protect screw (is is wide, flat and silver colored)
  5. Replace the keyboard panel (be sure all edges are clipped back in place)
  6. Replace the case screws
  7. Press and hold Esc+Refresh then press the Power button
  8. When the screen appears that says "Chrome OS is missing or damaged", press Ctrl+D
  9. Allow developer mode
  10. The chromebook should automatically restart
  11. When it starts, follow onscreen commands until booted into developer mode
  12.
