Spiceworks is a professional network for the information technology industry that is headquartered in Austin, Texas. The company was founded in January 2006 by Scott Abel, Jay Hallberg, Greg Kattawar, and Francis Sullivan to build IT management software.

Implementation

Look into getting this set up. What OS's does it run on? What platforms does it recognize?

Only runs on Windows. I don't really want to run this on HOMECOMP since it's lacking in resources and I'm already running some pretty resource hungry apps. I'm looking at an app called Icinga as an alternative. It runs on Ubuntu and Debian. Not sure if I'll run it through PLEXSERV or set up a new box with Ubuntu or another instance of Debian. Maybe I can grab a cheap machine from IUSB. That would allow me to swap the HOMECOMP box out to run as a server and put Windows on the newer machine.
