I have HOMESERV and HOMEPC scanned and inventoried but LAPTOP is being blocked or something. As far as I can tell the Windows Firewall is fine, the login credentials are fine, everything I can think of is fine but it still won't work. I'm wondering if it might be the firewall on the DD-WRT client bridge router. The only problem is I can't get into it now that it's been bridged. The IP address doesn't work when I try to connect through the browser. I might try pinging a range of IPs to see what's responding and try logging in to all of those.
Most everything else seems to be working well. I even managed to log in to Plex from work and watch part of a movie. Port Forwarding was much easier and worked much better through the Comcast router. Go figure.
Next up I want to start working on YAWCam and Mobile Device Management. Also need to set up Wake on LAN on HOMEPC. WOL works perfectly on HOMESERV via my handy new Android app.
I really need to get my hands on some RAM to speed up these systems. Even after shutting down Aero on HOMESERV, HOMEPC, and LAPTOP everything is still pretty slow. Obviously my best bet would be to buy RAM brand new either through Crucial or at PC Direct. The downside of that route is the price. To save some cash I may have to buy used either through Craigslist or maybe from PC Direct (even though the RAM I bought used from them before didn't work in LAPTOP, but that might be because I was mixing 1GB and 512MB). I'll have to check CL later for any used RAM. We'll see.
