It's been a little too long between these messages, huh? Well, that's one thing I'll have to work on. Mainly I think it's that I need to make the time to do these and stick to it. Eventually it should become a habit and I'll just do it without thinking.

So, on with the whole thing... Today I opened with Kelly at 8am to do markdowns. Had to skip my one-and-only class to make it. Project 2 was due today so It's kind of not great that I missed class. I also lied to Jamie about what time I worked. I told her I worked 12:30-9:30, and would be in class before that. Kind of just trying to avoid a fight or a serious conversation about being an adult or something. Kind of feeling guilty about how much I have been lying to her lately. I did e-mail Professor Lasiter all of my images this morning though with an explanation for my absence and a description of the project. It's a decent project for what time and effort I put into it. I spent most of my time brainstorming and planning and, really just a couple days executing it. Now all I need to do is get to class on Wednesday to bullshit my way out of this artsy paper bag using big words and complicated concepts.

Work went pretty smoothly, no problems to report. I discussed planning and ideas for Holiday Rollout with Steph. She was receptive to most everything but we all seem to have a pretty different vision of the Windows. We did come to a consensus on what we would be executing in the Windows and what would be translated into an In-Store presentation. I think it might actually look pretty cool. Steph was agreeable to separating Women's Sportswear into two parts in order to incorporate a pop-out Gifting presentation near the registers. Speaking of the registers, we really need to get on the snowflake string art. I don't want it to fall by the wayside like the spiderweb idea did. It should go pretty fast now that we have a design planned out and we won't need to wing it.

I've been slowly chipping away at household projects but they just seem to multiply daily. I knock one down and another three pop up. Lots of things are barely started or half finished and I can't seem to get back around to them. I feel like I need a day to JUST work on my backlog of home projects. I hate to sound cynical but that is pretty unlikely to happen, eh. Maybe if I could tear myself away from the TV a little more often... When Jamie puts shows on that I'm not that interested in I should just break away and tackle all that extra stuff.

So in conclusion, the things I will be working on are: Project 2 presentation, Snowflake string art, and breaking away from distractions in order to accomplish forgotten projects.
