I am so fucking livid right now. With all of yesterday's issues with the downed power line and the fallen tree branch, I had to have Billy, one of my coworkers, submit the first proof of a magazine I was working on. The FIRST magazine I had been assigned in this job. So, I asked him to just do some finishing touches, very specific things spelled out in my email. I come in today to find out he had completely redone several of my spreads. Granted some of it had to do with the fact I had been going by the wrong margin line (something that had NOT been explained to me when I was assigned this project, and I had not been given a labeled template), but SO much other changes had been made. He changed out images, changed headers and typefaces, added ugly clipart, and increased font size and leading to an excessive point.

It's just so fucking rude.

I'm so fucking over his bullshit. I am feeling the need to leave this job. I'm at the point where I have decent experience and could probably get a much better paying job in my field. It would not be a far flung idea to see myself doing much bigger projects for a much better company/organization.

After getting home from work I decided to check out how my PC and servers were doing. HOMECOMP is doing fine, all seems to be working normally. I will need to buy a new surge protector so I don't fry this thing. PLEXSERV appears to be working fine as well. Logged into the system like usual, was able to log into the web GUI like normal too. I have not tried streaming anything yet but I am optimistic about its functionality.

On the down side, it looks like HOMESERV might be down for the count. I tried running the tower and the rack from the surge protector as well as directly from the outlet but neither powered up. The monitor turned on and seemed to be in working order though. I will have to try powering things up from a different outlet later to be sure they are actually dead. It could just be the PSU in both crapped out. I'll check to see if the drives in the rack still work later as well. Luckily I just backed up my important stuff this past weekend so if that drive is dead, not all is lost.

This weekend I will have to buy a few new surge protectors to replace the ones that got fried and melted. Menard's might be a good place since I have to go there for a bunch of other stuff anyway.
