So I found a method of Hacktivating Vista that actually worked. It's basically a developer tool in the form of an .exe that I ran and it just changed the product key *snap* like that. Only problem was it didn't work on one computer: the PC. Kind of weird because it was the same installation process used on the laptop, same .iso file. The only one I ended up installing differently was the server, since I wiped the installation flash drive, assuming I would just leave the server running XP. So now I'm stuck with a decision: Either I can re-install Vista on the PC and also re-install ALL software and drivers and everything else, OR I can find an alternative hack, crack, or otherwise workaround to activate Vista. Another thought occurred to me; what if the .exe file can tell how many times it has been used to install the same product key and only works on two machines. I don't know if that's necessarily possible but I guess I could try downloading the .exe again and run it again, just to be sure.
Still no word about the IT job at IUSB. That was a week ago Friday. I feel like it's just not going to happen.
