Concept


A printing press made using a bottle jack (or even a regular jack) in order to apply enough pressure to produce a decent print.

What kinds of brackets?

Try to use mostly 2x4s

Plywood will need to be of decent quality and fairly thick

Prototyping & Testing


Speak to the process for achieving the best result possible and the quality of the prints produced. Also take pictures of the various stages of the process and the final prints.

Be sure to drill pilot holes for screws

Make sure all moving parts have adequate clearance from the structural parts

Take measurements and take photos.

Measurements to Take:

  • Height extended
  • Height contracted
  • Width extended
  • Width contracted
  • Depth
  • Base - width and depth
  • Top - width and depth
  • Distance from base to bottom arm - extended and contracted
  • Distance from top to top arm - extended and contracted
