About

This device is a remote operated light bulb. The light bulb does not connect to the Home Network, nor does the remote.

Connecting and Disconnecting

A connection process is required between the bulb and the remote in order for them to operate. To connect, press the "ON" button 5 times within 5 seconds. This will cause a white LED to flash, indicating the connection has been made. This should be confirmed by pressing the "ON" or "OFF" buttons, depending on the current state of the light.

To disconnect the bulb and remote, the same procedure listed above should be followed. Press the "ON" button 5 times within 5 seconds. This will cause a white LED to flash, indicating the connection has been made. This should be confirmed by pressing the "ON" or "OFF" buttons, depending on the current state of the light.

Battery

The remote requires a small button type battery, CR2032. The battery lasts about 6 months before it begins showing signs of power loss. Replacing the battery is easy. Just slide the battery tray from the bottom of the remote, remove the old battery, and replace in the same orientation.

Troubleshooting

Problem: The remote does not perform indicated functions.

Check that the lamp was not turned off by other means. Check the switch on top of the lamp. Check the lamp's plug in the power strip, as well as the power strip toggle switch and plug to the wall. It may also require a battery replacement. It may also be necessary to re-seat the battery in its tray.

Problem: The remote only works intermittently

Check that the battery tray is inserted completely. If it is, the battery may need to be replaced.

End of Life

Once this burns out I will likely replace it with a wifi light bulb adapter.
