About

Open Media Vault is a free Linux distribution designed for network-attached storage. The project's lead developer is Volker Theile, who instituted it in 2009. OMV is based on the Debian operating system, and is licensed through the GNU General Public License v3.

Current Version: Arakkis

Will be upgrading to the newer version soon. Just need to create a reliable backup of my system drive before running the upgrade command. Been running into errors when trying to create a backup through OMV's Backup feature. Is there another way to create a backup?

  • Look into RSnapshot.
  • Look into Cockpit's Applications tab
  • Look into dogtags certificate authority
  • Look into setting up notifications on OMV
  • Look into setting up iptables on OMV
