Thread

Thread to use - 100% polyester thread, not the cheap shit. Gives a professional look, longer lasting

Spool colors - cream or white

Needle for Machine

Schmets? 80/12 or 90/14

Lighter weight fabrics need smaller needles

Heavier materials like canvas need a bigger needle

Needle size is written on the top end of the needle

Top end has a flat side

The Machine

What knobs/dials do what? Consult the manual.

Important things: what stitch, width of stitch, length of stitch.

Tension dial, recommended setting in manual

Winding a Bobbin

Position spool on spool pin, thread coming toward you from underneath. Place spool holder.

Wrap around tensioner

Thread goes through middle to outside of bobbin

Place bobbin on bobbin pin

Pull hand wheel OUT

Wind the bobbin

Threading the Machine

Consult manual

Bobbin thread and needle thread come out together
