About

HandBrake is a free and open-source transcoder for digital video files, originally developed in 2003 by Eric Petit to make ripping a film from a DVD to a data storage device easier. Since then, it has undergone many changes and revisions. HandBrake is available for Linux, macOS, and Windows.

Docker Setup

Alright, I got this up and running in Docker. Testing it now. It's possible to have 5 presets for converting, currently I'm testing on the default of 1080p30 (I'm assuming this is 30 fps). I may add more for converting different types of videos (TV/Movies/etc.)

OMG it worked! It took a while but it worked! I still need to play the video to confirm, but it went from 10 GBs to 2 overnight!

The video quality is actually pretty excellent. I've converted several videos. Works great.

I think there may be an issue with this. It seems to be outputting 2 videos of different quality for every video placed in the Watch folder. May have to look under the hood to figure out what the deal is.
